SKYPE SESSION WITH U.K. STUDENTS

WITH AN AIM TO CREATE AN INTERNATIONAL PLATFORM FOR OUR STUDENTS WHERE THEY GET A CHANCE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT OTHER COUNTRIES, THEIR CULTURE AND EDUCATION SYSTEM, OUR SCHOOL ORGANISED A SKYPE SESSION AS  PART OF PENNY LANE - ISA ACTIVITY. THE SKYPE SESSION WAS HELD ON 14TH FEBRUARY, 2018 WHERE THE SELECTED STUDENTS OF CLASSES 2ND AND 3RD INTERACTED WITH THE STUDENTS OF MAENDY PRIMARY SCHOOL, WALES, U.K. IT WAS A LEARNING AND SHARING ACTIVITY WITH GLOBAL OUTLOOK.

THE SKYPE SESSION STARTED WITH AN INTRODUCTION OF OUR PRINCIPAL MS. REEMA PUNJ FOLLOWED BY OUR ISA CO-ORDINATOR MS. JAGDEEP KAUR. THE STUDENTS OF OUR SCHOOL WERE PREPAREDON VARIOUS INTERESTING TOPICS LIKE THE CURRENCY OF BOTH THE COUNTRIES, LANGUAGES TAUGHT IN BOTH THE SCHOOLS, RELIGION ETC AND SHARED THEIR VIEWS ABOUT THE SAME. PRINCIPAL MS. REEMA PUNJ ENCOURAGED THE STUDENTS WITH HER PRESENCE DURING THE WHOLE SKYPE SESSION.

IT WAS A WELL CONDUCTED SESSION, UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF THE PROGRAMME CO-ORDINATOR MS. POONAM KAUR, AS THE TWO SCHOOLS EXCHANGED NOT JUST PRESENTATIONS AND WORDS BUT CULTURES, VALUES AND EDUCATION. THEY TOOK A NEW STEP TOWARDS A WORLD WITH NO BOUNDARIES AND A WORLD FULL OF PEACE, FRIENDSHIP AND LOVE FOR EACH OTHER.

POWER POINT PRESENTATIONS TO SHOWCASE MONEY CONVERSION :-
STUDENTS OF MIDDLE SEGMENT PREPARED POWER POINT PRESENTATIONS TO SHOWCASE MONEY CONVERSION IN INDIA AND U.K. THEY PARTICIPATED IN AN INTER-CLASS POWER POINT PRESENTATION COMPETITION ORGANISED IN THE SCHOOL AUDITORIUM ON 29TH SEPTEMBER 2017 AND SHARED THE KNOWLEDGE WITH THEIR PEER GROUP.

Money Exchange Counter – 28.8.2017 :-

Activity on sensitizing about currency exchange techniques was taken up for our students of class XI to XII. Students put up a money exchange counter and sensitized peer group about currency exchange techniques. They developed the sense of converting currencies used in India and UK and appreciating money value. Parents were also made aware of these activities through circulars and website citation.

It provided students a global edge and an international perspective and accountability for team building and innovation beyond borders.

NUMBER SENSE AND SCRAP BOOK

STUDENTS OF CLASSES 2-5 PARTICIPATED IN THE FIRST COLLABORATIVE ACTIVITY, i.e. NUMBER SENSE AND SCRAP BOOK BY USING  CURRENCY OF INDIA AND UK. STUDENTS COLLECTED IMAGES OF CURRENCY OF DIFFERENT DIMENSIONS. THEY LEARNT TO RECOGNIZE NUMBERS AND HOW TO WRITE THEM IN FIGURES AND WORDS THEY ALSO LEARNT TO DO STORY SUMS WITH CURRENCY OF BOTH INDIA AND UK AND ARTISTICALLY AND SKILFULLY SHOWCASED EVOLUTION OF CURRENCY IN BOTH THE COUNTRIES BY MEANS OF PROJECTS, MODELS, CHARTS AND SCRAPBOOKS. THEIR WORK WAS DISPLAYED AT AN EXHIBITION ON THE PTM DAY. PARENTS FOUND IT AN ALLURING NUMBER MAZE AND WERE AMAZED AT THE ENCHANTING EXHIBITS. THEY APPRECIATED THE EFFORTS OF STUDENTS AND TEACHERS.

STUDENTS WILL BE SHARING THEIR WORK WITH THEIR PEER-GROUP IN UK.
